Welcome back to Clickipedia’s Week in Review. What’s new this week in Enterprise Mobility and Mobile Workforce Management?
- It was a busy week for ClickSoftware — attending SAP SAPPHIRE NOW in Orlando and hosting ClickConnect Europe in Barcelona. Discussions on both sides of the Atlantic reinforced that enterprise mobility and business apps are a top priority for the industry. As organizations move to a BYOD policy they favor solutions that are deployed via HTML 5, to accommodate the multiple device landscape.
- More research backs BYOD is here to stay, as new findings point to increased productivity when employees can plug-in the device of their choice. According to the report, organizations also gain a competitive advantage from an open policy, even if they do need to grapple with more security concerns.
- Network World asks, is your BYOD policy out of date? The recommendation is to update the policy every quarter to keep up with changing consumerization trends.
- Investor’s Business Daily explored the business drivers behind enterprise app stores. Moshe BenBassat explained the productivity boost organizations will experience by moving to mobile apps designed for business, such as those available in the ClickAppStore.
