Ameren Boosts Service with FSM System Upgrade
Ameren is an American electric and gas utility that serves customers in parts of Missouri and Illinois. Prior to working with ClickSoftware, Ameren’s gas compliance group was operating with outdated technology. Information Technology Development Supervisor Don Cline says his team was using a standalone workforce management system that was “at the end of its life.” The system wasn’t user-friendly or easy to modify, and all their maps and processes were paper-based.
It’s important that Ameren is able to respond immediately to their customers, especially in the case of an emergency. For instance, if there’s a power outage on a freezing day and someone’s heat turns off, a technician will need to be onsite before pipes start bursting.
