Geographical Coverage Analysis
Achieve Optimal Territory Coverage

Where members of your mobile workforce are based matters when it comes to effectively meeting demand and keeping your customers satisfied. That does not, however, mean that ensuring your staff are appropriately located over time is an easy task.

Customer demand for the services you provide in given territories changes over time with demographics, new product offerings, segmented marketing campaigns and more. The coverage plan you set up to meet demand in one area a few years ago may not address the volume of demand or the skill sets required to meet that demand today. Trying to meet today's demand with yesterday's territory plan can be challenging and inefficient.

Knowing how your territories have changed over time, and subsequently figuring out a new coverage plan to accommodate these changes, is critical to achieving your business goals, But without the right tools, an analysis of this sort can be daunting.

ClickSoftware's Geographical Coverage Analysis is part of ClickSoftware's Consulting Services. ClickSoftware experts use a proprietary territory planning tool to analyze historical data going back 6 to 12 months in order to determine the ratio of workload density in a given location to the availability of qualified technicians to perform the requisite jobs in that location.

Using the workload density ratios, service managers can then re-valuate their territory plans, relocating service staff or redefining territory borders to ensure today's demand is being efficiently met in each territory.
