Business Views Engine

The Business Views Engine within Mobility Studio opens a world of possibilities to the implementer through the ability to create new modules that can be plugged into ClickMobile based upon additional “business objects”. These business objects may represent customers, employees, assets, equipment, parts, products, services, tools, or any other entity within a business – all of which can be exposed to, and updated, from the field.

Imagine a company that wants to begin tracking their equipment in the field, when it is used, when it is available, its maintenance schedule and a detailed equipment profile. Without Mobility Studio, this would require either the purchase of a totally new mobile technology or at least the major overhaul of a mobile solution- all which require substantial changes to the database and many lines of code to be designed, written, and tested.

Instead, as new business objects are needed, they can be added to the solution simply through configuration – and no need to change the underlying database or touch any code. Mobility Studio makes these views available for inclusion within any mobile application, so that equipment can be added to the imaginary scenario above, along with all of its information – accompanied by a prescribed work flow to ensure that the equipment is tracked, scheduled, and updated according to business policy.

The Business Views Engine allows for complex relationships between business objects, such as the association of a specific employee with a vehicle, a customer with many assets, a part with many available warehouses, or a customer which may be serviced by several people in the organization – each with a different purpose.
